Bricque Garber | 100 'Sixies' Exhibition

Collages and Ceramics
Through these 100 small but potent 6″ squares, the Bricque Garber explores moments of struggle, tenderness and endurance. Each piece invites viewers to see that even constraint, beauty and hope persist. Together, they form a mosaic of hope: proof that even within limitation, light continues to find shape.
As a resident of Martha’s Island, Bricque draws on the richness of the island and global events as well as from the surroundings of her studio in Greece.
Meg Black | Abacca Paintings and Sculptures

Abaca is one of the world’s strongest fibers.
As one of a handful of artists working in this medium, she has become a pioneer, internationally recognized by galleries and collectors alike. Her focus on nature’s palette yields stunning landscapes, garden views, and the seascapes of Martha’s Vineyard. Her extensive experience includes visiting instructor at the Studio Art Center International in Florence, Italy.
Jo-Ann Acey | "By Land & By Sea"

Flashe and Gouache
Jo-Ann Acey’s works on paper are energetic linear drawings grounded in rich color blocked compositions. The imagery suggests landscape, seascape, or architecture. They are reminiscent of spaces we have known or imagined. Jo-Ann is a long-time summer resident of the island. Her works are also represented by the 440 Gallery in New York since 2016.
The artist speaks of her works as “quick glimpses or telescopic views of everyday life.
Ekua Holmes | Collages and Limited Edition Giclee Prints
Saturday, August 1, 2026 | 6–8 pm
The artist’s work has been exhibited in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. As a fine artist and illustrator, she has received awards for numerous books she has illustrated.
Ekua Holmes’ work is collage-based, and her subjects, made from cut and torn papers, investigate family histories, relationship dynamics, childhood impressions, the power of hope, faith, and self-determination.
E.B. Lewis | Watercolors
Saturday, August 8, 2026 | 6–8 pm
Award-winning fine artist and illustrator, E.B. has illustrated 90 books. From France to Martha’s Vineyard, he has a wealth of subjects to paint. His newest collection of work is inspired by his time on the island.
April Harrison | Mixed Media
Saturday, August 15, 2026 | 6–8 pm
Her adept use of color, as well as her audacious re-purposing of found objects in her work, adds a physical reality and a quilt-like quality. The artist says, “When you enter my creative world, I want you to feel something. A tug at the heartstrings, perhaps a distant memory, a love lost, a love found….SOMETHING”
